In Memory Of Sue Blake – EBA Expert

Take Control Of Your Online PR - In Memory Of Sue Blake

Every so often we are lucky to meet someone who makes a genuine and positive difference to our business and personal lives. Sue Blake of Sue Blake PR was such a person.

So it is with immense sadness that I have to inform you that Sue passed away on Monday 23 July after a battle with cancer which began last October.

She remained typically optimistic, brave and dignified throughout her illness and many people will be unaware that she had been ill for some time.

Sue was a force of nature whose positivity and can-do approach touched the lives of all who worked with her. She will be remembered with immense affection and gratitude by all of us at The EBA as a vibrant and energetic woman who was full of creative energy and who made things happen.

Our thoughts are with Sue’s family at this very sad time.  Sue will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

This was such a shock – like so many people I had no idea.

Sue was (and is) such an angel. A deeply sincere, warm and giving soul. Our planet is richer for her time here and heaven richer for her return.

Devastated to hear this news. Sue and I worked together briefly a couple of years ago and she was simply delightful to deal with. Warm, engaging, supportive, professional, and just lovely. I am so sad to hear this news, as will anyone who ever had the pleasure to know Sue.

This such sad news, I had no idea Sue was ill. She was very helpful to me and was particularly kind the morning I rang her at 7.30am as a result of accidently leaning on my Blackberry! I’m really sorry to read that she has passed away and would like to extend my sincere condolences to her family. Liz

I totally agree with you Bev – Sue made such a positive difference to everyone she met. She will be missed terribly – by her friends, her work colleagues and of course her family. I was very sad to hear of her passing away – I will be left with such wonderful memories. Sue was dynamic, energetic and completely unique.

Sue helped me and my business with a great profile and I cannot tell you how delightful and amazing she was. Another business friend has just be diagnosed with cancer at a young age and this sad loss of Sue, and knowing my friend is battling with this terrible illness, should be a wake up call for many of us, even as dedicated entrepreneurs. We must remember that life is not a dress rehersal and we should also focus on the really important things in life, family, friends and what makes them happy.

I am sorry to hear about Sue, I did not know Sue in person. However, after reading about this wonderful person, that helped so many others in life. It really makes a person think about one’s own life. My thoughts go out to her family and friends.

What a shock! My few encounters with Sue were enough to show how deeply professional, passionate and personable she was and how generous with her time and her expertise.
The sadness is lessened by a slight smile at the thought of how she will be busy organising things wherever she is now!
Farewell lovely lady.

I worked with Sue for over 10 years, and she promoted nearly all of my books. She was a real driving force – full of energy, life, and constant good humour. My next book will be dedicated to her alone as I couldn’t have done what I have done without her. I will miss her enormously.

What terrible news. I had no idea. I have worked with Sue over the last 8 years and recommended many clients to her. This is a huge loss. Whenever we spoke we had such a laugh and I can only say that she was an amazingly positive, fun person. This will be a terrible loss. My thoughts are with her family at this terrible time.
