Welcome to the first Bev’s Blog of 2012 I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very successful and prosperous New Year. When looking ahead to a new year it is useful to start by reflecting back on the one that has just passed. 2011 was a tough year for many businesses.

There is a popular saying that: “Success has many parents – but failure is an orphan”. I have found that to be true. If you do what you need to do to stay ahead of the pack – you won’t get left behind.

How many times on avaerage does someone attempt a goal before giving up? Would you guess 1, 2 or 3? The real answer is probably nearer 0.5. Many people give up before they even try.

You walk into your office to find a handwritten envelope on your desk. Your heart sinks. You know it contains a resignation letter from one of your team.

Decisions lead to action and success long term depends on the impact of the decisions that you make each and every day. When you understand that you are in control of your own decisions, you can choose how successful you can be. Sounds easy, yes?
