In a recession or not, controlling cash is totally critical for business survival. Once they have been recognised, many cash flow problems can be reduced or turned around – many business owners are slow to pinpoint the problem, and then it’s too late.

Show me someone who can honestly say they kept a resolution they made on New Years’ Day and I’ll show you many who didn’t!

Business life produces invaluable lessons for us, myself included and I think a lot of my success comes down to sheer hard work and determination – AND total honesty. It takes about three minutes to dig yourself into a hole and about two years to dig yourself out. Cash is king. Without cash you have no room to manoeuvre.

This is the first in a new blog series about STRENGTHS. Two things need to happen to create a success formula.
