The recession has hit the so-called “Y Generation” very hard (that’s people born between 1980 and 1994 in case you were wondering. I know I was!). There are fewer jobs – and certainly no job security.

The innovative TeenBiz scheme will enable one student per month to receive up to £500 funding, a business mentor and a start up pack, and aims to start 100 new businesses for under 18s over the next three years.

In 25 days time, De Vere West One (opposite the BBC in Portland Place) will be full of entrepreneurs and business owners clambering for THE best business knowledge they can get their hands on in one day.

The life of a solopreneur and business owner is definitely exciting and takes us to an edge on a daily basis yet it isn’t for the faint hearted. We definitely need to keep ourselves ground and focused if we are to achieve the best each day for our venture.
