We interviewed Colin Stevens, founder and managing director of Better Bathrooms, for this month’s “Business in the Spotlight”. Here’s what we discovered about the business, the man behind the business and his journey as a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Business Academy.

Congratulations to EBA member Bruce Durham, founder of Premier Corporate Training Services. Bruce won Entrepreneur of the Year at the Northumberland Business Awards which took place on Thursday 17th November.

The recession has hit the so-called “Y Generation” very hard (that’s people born between 1980 and 1994 in case you were wondering. I know I was!). There are fewer jobs – and certainly no job security.

The innovative TeenBiz scheme will enable one student per month to receive up to £500 funding, a business mentor and a start up pack, and aims to start 100 new businesses for under 18s over the next three years.

The forthcoming Business Startup and Great British Business Show, are set to break all previous records with an anticipated attendance of 30,000 businesses. We are glad to be a part of it and we’ll be at stand 388 if you want to come and say hello.
