The recession has hit the so-called “Y Generation” very hard (that’s people born between 1980 and 1994 in case you were wondering. I know I was!). There are fewer jobs – and certainly no job security.

The innovative TeenBiz scheme will enable one student per month to receive up to £500 funding, a business mentor and a start up pack, and aims to start 100 new businesses for under 18s over the next three years.

The forthcoming Business Startup and Great British Business Show, are set to break all previous records with an anticipated attendance of 30,000 businesses. We are glad to be a part of it and we’ll be at stand 388 if you want to come and say hello.

Every business owner wants to make more profit. For this you need a business that sells what a big target market actually want AND you need to have the right profit margin after all costs.

Those of us who watch and listen to the news won’t have escaped hearing about the state of the economy across the pond and the potential of the ripple effect on our economy. One thing is for sure, entrepreneurialism is about taking control of our livelihoods and not leaving too much to chance.
