To Succeed, We Need to Lock Mindset and Skillset Together

There are 4.8 millions SME’s currently in the UK and the government knows that entrepreneurialism is the lifeblood of our return to a healthy economy. Giving entrepreneurs’ the best chance possible means there is a real need for guidance and support – neither the ‘mindset or skillset’ should be taken for granted as ‘enough’.
With more and more people taking control of their careers by starting their own ventures (many using their redundancy money to fund them), it is absolutely vital that people succeed. Enthusiasm is always present. People DO get very excited when they turn to this path. It is the pragmatic and grounded entepreneur who will seek advice from the outset for all the areas they have little, or no experience. Imagine expecting to compete in the Olympics if you had not completed a training programme? Imagine being in peak physical fitness yet your mindset to WIN was off-beam? To succeed, we need to lock mindset and skillset firmly together. At the EBA, we are passionate about your success.
Gill Fielding, from Channel 4′s Secret Millionaire presented for the first time for the EBA this weekend as part of our team of Millionaire Mentors. “The EBA are leading the way in entrepreneurship education,” said Gill, to a packed venue of almost 200 delegates.
EBA’s Founder & MD, Bev James said “What continues to be stunning, despite the economic pressures, is the response to our coaching modules sign ups since we launched in March. Delegates to our Business Growth Days, which take place monthy with our Millionaire Mentors and James Caan, are now showing awesome progress in their businesses!! It’s very gratifying! Our reach is diverse. We even have four former Olympic athletes, now entrepreneurs attending the Business Growth Days and companies from diverse sectors including hospitality, holidays, recruitment, charities, consultancy and finance.”
Gill’s inagurual presentation for the EBA, amusingly titled ‘What’s the FFFing business’ had our audience totally engaged! What a terrific story Gill has from very humble beginnings to the financial freedom she now enjoys. It’s very clear that Gill’s motivation is for you to learn how to be as successful as you can be.
People measure success in different ways of course, yet we’ve never met an entrepreneur or business owner who doesn’t want to be as financially successful as they can be! Only those who were there at Saturday’s TOTAL Business Mastery Seminar will know what “Forest Gate” thinking means. If you were there, and read this blog, do share what your ‘Forest Gate’ reflections are in the comment area against this blog.
“If you keep your face to the sun, you won’t notice the clouds,” said Gill Fielding. F.O.C.U.S .. !
“Follow leaders – not followers!” was another Gill Fielding gem of wisdom!

Our next TOTAL BUSINESS MASTERY Seminar will take place at Devere West One (near the BBC in Portland Place) on Saturday 25th September. Tickets only went on sale at the end of last week.
We have two levels:
- VIP Tickets at £120 pp – with this ticket you have a seat reserved for you right at the front and lunch with the Millionaire Mentors: providing a brilliant opportunity to network and ask your questions. PLUS, we take a photograph of you with James Caan! Limited availability – book fast!
- Other tickets are priced just £67! This represents incredible value!
And a final word from James Caan: “It isn’t necessarily about coming up with a big idea to build a business with. You can just take an existing product or business and make it bigger, smaller, faster, stronger, or simply do it differently. A good example is Easyjet, after all it’s founder didn’t invent aircraft! I also think it’s important to always be very clear of the reasons why you do everything you do and that in turn will maintain your motivation. And don’t forget that everyone needs mentors – even mentors themselves nearly always have a mentor!”
