A wise word from James Caan

“Whether in a recession or not, controlling cash is absolutely critical for small firms. Often cash flow problems can be reduced. However, 90% of firms are still failing because of lack of knowledge and skills of the business owner. The truth is that the ability to maximise cash & profits often depends on simple techniques, for example: 1. Be more productive in the way debtors are managed and 2. Produce monthly management accounts. It is essential to make the time to learn the right financial skills so that you can spend more time driving the revenue for the business rather than losing track of it.” James Caan

Thanks James. Just goes to show the fundamentals are as important as they ever were, if not more so.
